Cell Phone Antennas

Whether you're looking to replace a broken one, or trying to improve reception, most people end up needing a new cell phone antenna at one time or another. By carefully researching your options, you'll be able to find the cell phone antenna that's just right for the job.

Cell phone antennas come in many varieties. Most antennas that come with cellular telephones today are either fixed (as in they don't move) or telescopic (they extend). Flip phones like the ones made by Motorola tend to have the telescopic type while Nokia models usually have the fixed version.

For people who do a great deal of traveling, a vehicle cell phone antenna is recommended. These types usually are magnetic-mounted or “through-the-glass.” They dramatically improve signal strength and can limit your RF exposure which, in some studies, has been linked to health problems. Unfortunately, some of the newer cellphones do not have external antenna connectors. Check with a retailer to see if your phone is compatible with the vehicle kit you've chosen.

Most cell phone antenna retailers will have accessories for a wide assortment of models. The most popular include Motorola, Nokia, Ericson, Samsung, LG, and more.
